Element Based
This series of work allows me to understand my observations and curiosities within the landscape. Moments I am not involved in but intrigue me. For example, the way water sculpts land, the way light filters through canyon walls, and the interaction between the stone of a river bed and the water above it. These curiosities become inspiration for slip casting. The process of mold making allows me to capture details and moments beyond the human touch. I have created a library of textures and forms made directly from these environments and elements. These observations become interchangeable molds. These module molds can create an infinite number of forms while working within the same idea
